Background

From New Zealand courtrooms to Vancouver family law

I have practised law for more than a decade, first in New Zealand and now in British Columbia. In New Zealand I ran trials, negotiations and mediations in disputes ranging from real estate to cross-border divorce.

Today my practice is family law. I draft marriage and cohabitation agreements for couples who want to settle things while they are getting along, and I act for people working through separation, parenting and property.

The courtroom years matter to the agreements. I have seen how agreements are challenged, so I know what makes one hold.

I start by getting everyone around the table to reach an arrangement that will last.

A fixed price for agreements

Marriage and cohabitation agreements are a fixed fee, so you know the cost before any work begins.

Court when it is needed

Where agreement isn't possible, I have the courtroom experience to see your case through.

Outside the Office

Planning a wedding of my own

My fiancée and I have been together for six years and are getting married this December. I know what it is like to plan a wedding, and the practical conversations that come with it.

When I am not working through the guest list, you will find me snowboarding on Vancouver's mountains or out on a hiking trail.
